Legging Haul from Aliexpress! Burgain Huntress Alert

Hi everyone!! HAPPY NEW YEAR! I've recently put on some weight and am a little self concious about my body, so this is the PERFECT time to buy a whole load of skin tight unforgiving cameltoe inducing garments! I do think I can style them so that they don't emphasize my thunderthighs too badly, though, (*dusts shoulders off*) and as a massive fan of anything that isn't jeans I had to give them a go. I hauled these beautiful leggings from Aliexpress (a while ago *cries*) but better never than late I always say! (Amba, that makes no sense.)

First I got these Cream Floral ones:
All styled with Boohoo Tania Ankle Strap Platfroms
These leggings are nice and opaque, and a very wearable cream floral. They're exactly like in the pictures and super cheap. They are a OSFA deal so it's lucky that they are quite stretchy, and the colour I chose is 'beige' which is actually a light cream. (For reference I'm a NZ/UK size 8 - I think it's a US size 4)

Cream Floral Leggings on Aliexpress HERE

Galaxy Print and Adventure Time Leggings ripped off from Black Milk Clothing:

Galaxy Green:  I think these leggings are a gorgeous colour! I got them in a size 'M' and they fit fine. the length is also perfect, I just accidentally hitched it up a little on one side.

Galaxy Rainbow: I'm not sure if these are the ones I ordered as sometimes things look different from the picture - these look a bit more red than rainbow, but still quite nice. I got these in an 'S' but can't see the difference between the sizing of these or the galaxy green in 'M.'

WHAT TIME IS IT?! Adventure Time!!...  Leggings!

As a huge fan of Adventure Time, how could I resist these? They also had many other versions, like Princess Bubblegum or B-Mo leggings but I just got the one that had them all on there. They are a slightly different materiel to the Galaxy Print leggings, more stretchy. Got these in an 'M' as well, they are really comfy!

All of the Black Milk rippoffs shown above are available HERE

I need to invest in some longer T-shirts and Jumpers to really feel comfortable wearing these, but when properly styled they look and feel great. But if you have model legs, you could wear these with a crop top and be golden haha

OOTD Monochromatical - B&W Caual Outfit feat. Tobi Lace Shorts & Glamorous.com Chunky White Heels

This is just a quick OOTD post inspired by @audriiiiiiiina who I'm presumptuously going to name my FIRST Instagram friend on my @LittleMewWears account. She has fantastic taste in colour as can be seen from her bow specialising Etsy shop HERE but has somehow developed a reputation of having a monochromatic closet among her friends :) If that's true then she's bang on trend!

I am just loving my new Glamorous.com platforms! I am the worst heel-wearer that I know, but I can wear these all day long without wanting to take them off. I got these in a size '5' UK which is just slightly loose for my small (read 'scrawny') Indian feet but #idontcare (more about the shoes in post HERE). Also in this outfit is my new Wildfox-knockoff jumper from Aliexpress which is identical to my first black ribcage version but in white. I prefer this one! It feels softer and the white is a gentle, wearable white if that makes any sense. I rolled up the sleeves here but they're the normal full lengh with ripped detailing at the ends. As with a lot of stuff from Aliexpress it's OSFA.

The lace trim shorts are from Tobi.com in a size 'S' and fit at a comfortable high waist on me. Polkadot tights are from Aliexpress as well, cheap and cheerful and also OSFA! You can find out where I got the jewelry from THIS blog post.

Enjoy, and let me know what you think (as long as it's good, otherwise I don't want to know haha)!

Pastel Rainbow Hair Extensions! Aliexpress haul & review ♡

Pastel hair has been a major trend these past few years, and the army of pink haired lovelies does not seem to be diminishing. To a girl who dreamt of having the lightest pink hair ever since I was a just a little one, this is a fantastic thing! I love seeing lavender, powder blue, silver and light turquoise heads all over Instagram and in my bloglovin' feed - it makes me feel like the world is a bit more magical, inhabited by all these fairies!

Being a tan skinned brunette with Indian and African heritage I knew I was fighting a losing battle when I decided to finally go for it and achieve this look for myself. After already dying my hair to the frazzled blonde point-of-no-return I realised that my work would never permit me to wear any 'unnatural colours.' Finally, I decided that perhaps I should stop playing with chemicals (and fighting The Man) and just get a temporary solution.

Ruining my hair at Hue on Balmoral Rd Auckland - They're actually a really nice salon and offer 'perfect tea,' a very elusive substance outside of one's own home :)

So I scoured the internets for 'pastel ombre clip-in hair extensions' and found myself on good old Chinese exporters, Aliexpress:

It's a little confusing to navigate, but they offer 76 different colours of hair extensions at varying lengths. I was drawn to the ombre colours because I find them easier to blend into my hair. I chose the colours I wanted and added the number codes and how many of each I wanted in the message to seller. My order of 42 individual 28'' extensions came to US$37.80 with free shipping. You can see the listing and my order details below (the new listing has changed to 2pcs lot, so I showed 21 lots of 28'' hair extensions):

Amazing result: they had all the colours that I had chosen in stock, posted to me really fast, and didn't get any wrong except for erring in my favour by giving me an extra piece of the dark pink/ light pink ombre! You can find the seller Eagle Fashion Ltd Company here or the link to this re-listing here

And here are the beauties:

In case you're interested, the colours that I requested were 45, 47, 57, 64, 66 , 70, 76 and I only got six pieces of each. This is due to me being unable to commit to any particular colour and wanting to see them in person before buying a proper amount of any.

Because my hair has now grown out into the obligatory ombre, the best I can achive with these extensions is a 'my little pony' gradient. Now that I am no longer employed by a large hotel company I constantly dye the blonde part of my hair light pink, so am mainly drawn to the pink extensions.

Also from Aliexpress I picked up a five-clip extension in the same colour as the pink ombre above:

This larger clip-in helps to tie the whole look together. I bought it from here. ..and this is a quick sequence which shows me putting the hair extensions in:

I put the larger piece in right at the bottom over a thin layer of hair, and then let down layers adding smaller pieces as I go (do you like my awesome makeshift comb-over in pic '1'?). There being only seven pieces, this does not take very long :)

Although ideally I would grow super long naturally pastel pink hair, I like the effect of these extensions. I think that already having an ombre to pink helps to blend the extensions in to my hair a little bit.  As the extensions are longer than my severely layered hair, they add to the effect that my hair goes from brown to a very light pink.
And this is the result:

My little ragdoll Chloe doing some stretches while her mummy appears to be hypnotised by the wall:

Verdict: Highly recommended if you want to have colourful hair but are unable to dye it!

I hope you enjoyed this review! Please let me know what you think and link me to your blogs with  coloured hair extension posts, I would love to see how you achieve My Little Pony hair without dying it!

Collective Online Haul: Aliexpress, Ebay, Sheinside

I find it hard to believe that I used to be among the most wary-of-online-purchasing people that I know. Needless to say, those dark days are over and I have fully welcomed and gone into overdrive in the fantastical limitless world of online shopping. Of course, especially in the case of some websites like Sheinside, Aliexpress and Ebay, what you see on the pretty webpage is not always what you get, and you need to do a little bit of ‘research’ to make sure what you’re buying is legitimate. One of the reasons I started my blog was to return the kind service that I felt so many other bloggers provided when they posted real-life photos and reviews of the items they bought online. I have added the links for other items too, wherever I found them still available online. Without any further ado, the photos please:

SHEINSIDE:
Silky lightweight jacket Sz M  $20.34 w/i FB 20% discount- Sheinside here
Light blue bandeau AU$3.00 - Factorie here
Cord trousers - H&M

I love this jacket, it is soft and silky, and looks as good in person as it does online. The size 'M' seems to fit me (sz 8 or 'S' usually) quite well. It is unlined which makes the inside look a little cheap, but it adds to how feathery light it is.

One of the things I love about the Sheinside website is that other purchasers put their own photos up so that you can see what it looks like in everyday lighting and styling. Out of the three online outlets reviewed here, Sheinside is the only 'clothes store.' It is similar to Romwe, Chicwish, Shechic & Choies, and if you're looking for a particular item, you might find it in more than one of these stores at varied prices.

EBAY:
Floral Kimono M $16.86 - Ebay here
Red ponte pencil skirt - Glassons
Bailey value burgundy crop top - Missguided

C
I got this summery kimono in the mode of 'Youtube makes me buy things' after watching a video by Izzi's Daydream (you can find her here). I love it, it's light, easy to wear and adds that little bit of cover that can 'modestify' and outfit.

When shopping on Ebay it's very difficult to see other reviews on the particular item you want. You can check out the seller's feedback as a whole, though, and sometimes I use Ctrl+F to see if I can find a review of the item I'm looking at.

ALIEXPRESS:
Blue cotton and lace shirt $12.98 - Aliexpress here
Bella floral print skater skirt AU$20.98 - Missguided here
This lace panelled shirt is cute and very flattering, but it is super itchy as well. It is not denim but rather a thin cotton and scratchy plastic-like lace. I still wear it and like the way it looks, but the material is very cheap. The back is completely sheer so I wear it with a bandeau.

Blue ombre fluffy cardigan Sz M ‘green’ $18.79 - Aliexpress here
Burgundy crop top - Missguided
Beige high waisted shorts - H&M
Light blue bandeau AU$3.00 - Factorie here
Dreamcatcher T-shirt Sz Free $7.80 - Aliexpress here
Black velvet skater skirt AU$14.95 - Factorie here
I love the colour and feel of this soft gradient cardigan, but the sleeves are a bit too short. If I could buy it again, I would go for an 'L' as the sizing was a little small. I bought a whole bunch of the T-shirts in the bottom left picture, so will do a seperate review, but will just say that they are awesome if you're looking good quality oversized T with a pretty print.

Light blue deer head with antlers sweater Sz Free $12.99 - Aliexpress here
Amela daisy print hotpants AU$45.98 - Missguided here
Nude crop bandeau top Sz 6 NZ$7.80 - ASOS here
Kitten ears - Ebay
Bella floral print skater skirt AU$20.98 - Missguided here
Mint mustache necklace - Diva
Skeleton ribcage sweater Sz Free $12.99 - Aliexpress here
Roses sweater Khaki Sz L $10.99 - Aliexpress here
Belt Aliexpress Pink $4.69 - Aliexpress here
Lace Skirt Sz Free $7.37 - Aliexpress here
Peacock fob watch necklace - Trademe
I got three of these distressed Wildfox ripoff sweaters. They are soft, versatile and give an 'I'm not really trying, I just look this good when I roll out of bed' sort of feel. I'm not sure if you can tell from the pictures, but the ribcage on the black sweater is made of sequins. Surprisingly, they do not detract from the comfort. The light blue deer sweater actually has a Wildfox label in it - those cheeky guys! The belt is super cute, a nice nude pink with laser cut details and is adjustable. The skirt is pretty with quite nice lace but the 'free' size is just too short to wear outside. <Although he looks terrified, Okami insisted on helping with his persistent meowing.>

Pale pink chiffon shirt Sz M ‘khaki’ $13.99 - Aliexpress here
Some of the stitching has been done in dark blue thread which looks like ink stains along the collar, the buttons are discoloured and the whole thing is a bit cheap, but this is just a circumstance of 'you get what you pay for.' I love the fact that the back has a tailcoat-esque opening and the amount of detail for the price (please excuse the desperate-for-an-iron look).

All in all I am so happy that even though I live in a tiny town in New Zealand I can buy beautiful clothes online. I just wanted to share a few notes:
  • All three of these sites offer free shipping most of the time (which I am a sucker for). The free shipping takes about a month to arrive so I would recommend giving yourself plenty of time if you need something for a particular event (or you can copy my style and buy nice clothes with no place to go).
  • All prices I stated were in USD unless I wrote AU or NZ $. The prices on these sites go up and down constantly!
  • Sizing usually always fits at least one size smaller than stated. I always size up to an M or L. Because of the sizing discrepancies I have found that buying things that are meant to be casual or oversized stand a better chance of not disappointing (that was kind of obvious, but I have been disappointed before with shorts and things that you really need to fit right).
  • When searching the sites 'mohair' is used to describe a fluffy synthetic eyelash knit (not actual angora mohair), 'plus sized' is used for clothing that is loose fitting, 'hollow out' means open knit, 'khaki' is a peachy or beige colour and 'chiffon' is used to describe almost anything!
Have a completely amazing day, and don't hesistate to ask me any questions about shopping online. I love to be an enabler.
